Conor's 1 Month Photo Shoot

I can hardly believe that Conor is already 1 month old. It went by so fast. He gets sweeter by the day and he is growing just beautifully. With his blue eyes, fair skin and kissable cheeks it is easy to see why he has been nicknamed "Sir Smush". Per usual, he was my perfect little model for his 1 month photo shoot. Check it out.

This is my new prop for my photo shoots. My Mom saw it and picked it up for me and it is just perfect! I can use it for all different ages. I love it.

The Roshangah Family

The Roshangah Family is just the sweetest. They have a 2 year old daughter Ariana and just had another baby girl named Mila who was such a trooper for her first photo shoot and did a great job. Mila was born a couple hours before my nephew Conor and so I will never forget the day 6-20-13.

I photographed them in their home. Mila is only 4 weeks old now (3 weeks old when we took the shots) and the family was still all cozy staying in getting used to becoming a family of 4. Ariana, the big sister is full of spunk and kept me on my toes. She has such a beautiful smile and she is a total Daddy’s girl. Mila has the sweetest little face with long long long lashes (I'm jealous) and she loves her pacifier and being held tightly by her Mom and Dad. We moved around a lot photographing in all different parts of their beautiful home and got some really sweet shots.

Another Beautiful Mama-To-Be

Last week I had the pleasure of doing another maternity shoot. I really enjoy doing these. It is so fun to talk pregnancy and babies with these glowing mamas to be while taking their pictures.

Kristin as you will see below is a beautiful girl. Her striking green eyes, long lashes, adorable freckles and perfect complexion all shine through in her photos. She is due in 8 weeks and her belly is just perfect. She is having a girl and she seems calm, excited and ready for this amazing new journey. We had fun doing the shoot in her room where she had the most natural light. She has a gorgeous apartment overlooking the marina which made for a great backdrop. I love shooting in people’s homes. They are just so natural and at ease in their own space. My favorite shots are the ones where she put on one of her husband’s white collared shirts. So beautiful and effortlessly sexy. Her good friend and mutual friend of mine, Rachel came over to be a part of the fun and to help style the shoot. Rachel has a great eye and I loved being able to capture Kristin giggling as she and Rachel engaged in girl talk.

Kristin looks just perfect in a casual white v-neck t-shirt. Not too done up. Simple, classic, clean and gorgeous.

This was one of Kristin's favorites as well as mine. I love the way she is gazing out at the marina.

I mean...could she look more at ease? I think not! So relaxed and adorable!

Loved Rachel's idea to let the bra strap hang off her shoulder like this.

I loved her pretty pink lace bra and it is magic when she giggles. So glad I captured her this way.

I love working with draped fabric. It shows the natural beautiful shape of a woman's body.

She spontaneously jumped off the bed and ran into the closet to grab one of her husband's white collared shirts and we snapped a few. I love this look.

My Little Trendsetters

Good morning Friends and Followers! I have a great new website for you to check out. www.littletrendsetter.com. They sell the cutest baby/kid clothes and they are really affordable. I love to get my kids new clothes but dont want to spend a fortune on each piece. With this company/website I can get a bunch of stuff for under $100 and they are right on trend. They have great stuff for girls, but lets face it, cute girl clothes are easy, right? This place however has really cute boy stuff also! I got both of my boys the distressed jeans with suspenders and we decided to do a little mini photo shoot last night post bath. Check it out!

How does he know to put his hands in his pocket? Beats me! Sure is my boy though!

As my boys always say "Mama, shake your bootie" I love that these jeans are so soft and cozy. They aren't those stiff kinds that the kids cant move around in.

The Birth of My Nephew

This day couldn't come fast enough. We were all so excited and so anxious for Orly & Mike to have their baby. Even Jack (my 4 year old) kept asking about his arrival and wanted to make sure that Conor would "like cars" so that they could play together.
It was a beautiful evening as they went to the hospital just a few blocks from where they live. Orly was 5 days overdue at this point and they were ready to get this show on the road!
After already being in labor for about 20 hours, on the cusp of midnight Orly began to push and we wondered will he be born June 19th or 20th?
At exactly 12:18 am on June 20th, Conor Haim Murphy came into this world. He is 6 pounds and 15 ouces of 100% pure sweetness and it was love at first sight for all of us.
I was so honored to be in the labor and delivery room with them and of course I had to take pictures to help them remember this amazing moment.
I have never seen Orly as content and as happy as she was later that morning with Mike by her side and Conor in her arms. She said, "Avia, you are right the pain just doesnt matter, I already dont remember." Mike said "ya right, we will see when I ask you for baby #2"
